Community Concerns Response Program
The Community Concerns Response program encourages responsible behaviors to mitigate risk by responding proactively to reported or noted concerns and coordinating appropriate support from campus and community resources for individuals, student groups, and student organizations.
This program actively supports students living off-campus individually and in groups, and assists with responding to reported concerns at nearby off-campus housing locations. We develop proactive relationships, assist with risk management education efforts, and build collaborative, trusting relationships with students, including Fraternity & Sorority Life council and chapter leaders, student athletes, other student groups and organizations, and non-student residents in nearby off-campus neighborhoods. We utilize relevant theory and best practices related to proactive risk management, college student development, and crisis intervention and response to best serve the off-campus community.
After reporting a concern the Community Concerns Response team will reach out to further discuss options to mitigate the concern. The Community Concerns Response team partners with the City of Ann Arbor, Ann Arbor Police Department, University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security, Wolverine Wellness, and Fraternity and Sorority Life, among others, to find solutions to issues/concerns within the Ann Arbor community.
