Bio

Meriya serves as a Case Manager for Student Support and Critical Incident Response.  She reports to the Associate Dean of Students and is responsible for providing direct support services to students experiencing complex incidents and crises impacting their campus life, and contributes to the functions of the Dean of Students Office through support of its administrative, student support, programmatic, and crisis management functions.
Prior to coming to the University of Michigan in 2025, Meriya was a Residence Director at Michigan State University (23'-24') and the University of Minnesota - Duluth (22'-23') where she supervised resident assistants, provided assistance during crisis moments, served on various departmental committees and supported programs across the universities. Meriya graduated from Hope College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with research experience in Sport Motivation, Sport Commitment and Personality in 2022.
