As Assistant Dean of Students, Devin is the direct report for the critical incident team. In addition, Devin reports to the Associate Dean of Students and is responsible for providing direct support services to students experiencing complex incidents and crises impacting their campus life; participating in training of various constituents about DOS support services and crisis response; assisting in development of reports and data analysis; overseeing the evaluation and assessment efforts related to student support services/critical incidents; utilizing relevant theory and best practices related to college student development and crisis response/management; maintaining and contributing to the functions of the Dean of Students Office through support of its administrative, student support, and crisis management functions.
Devin graduated from Hope College with a degree in Psychology and in Secondary Education with a Social Studies Composite focus. After Hope, he earned a Master's Degree in Higher Education from the University of Michigan while working as a graduate assistant in the Office of Greek Life. Devin earned his PhD in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University in 2019.
