Bio

Nicole serves as the Associate Dean of Students at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  As part of the leadership team of the Dean of Students area, Nicole’s work focuses on the strategic direction of Campus Climate Support, Parent & Family Engagement, the Blavin Scholars Program, and Expect Respect and she serves on the student support team that responds to incidents impacting students and the larger campus community.  Nicole’s professional experience spans nearly 30 years and centers around student access, inclusion, and support.  Prior to coming to the University of Michigan in 2016, Nicole served as dean of students at Palm Beach State College at the Boca Raton campus, director of multicultural affairs at Ursuline College in Ohio, Associate Dean of Students at Eastern Michigan University, and executive assistant to the president at Central State University in Ohio. Currently a doctoral student, Nicole earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Central State University in 1993 and a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Wright State University in 2001.
